After three Dermoid Sinus checks on Hazinas 5th litter, still no sinus found!!!

With Hazinas you can feel safe!

We sell our puppies primarily as family dogs. We, therefore, put good temper and good nature - together with good health - at the top of our list. The reason for this is, that regardless if you want a family dog, a utility dog, a dog for hunting, obedience or rescue work, a gard dog, a show dog, or a dog for breeding, the dog must first of all be able to function 100 percent as a good natured family dog. It is, therefore, vital that temper - together with health - is in focus regardig breeding of Ridgebacks in modern society today. "Hazinas" is not just a kennel name, it is also a guarantee label. We like to follow all of our offspring and we are available around the clock, should our puppy buyers need our help or advice at any time.

Temperament and health at Hazinas

We do not compromise with temperament and health in our breeding. Even though you regard your own dog as the best dog in the world and it may have obtained excellent results in the show ring, it is no excuse to use the dog for breeding, if it is aggressive and bad tempered. However, if your dog is very good natured and has no aggression, it would still be a bad idea to use the dog for breeding if there is a lot of illness amongst its ancestores and siblings or in its offspring (e.g. Dermoid Sinus, Hip Displasia or Elbow Arthritise). We have to accept isolated cases of bad health, but if there are repeated cases of a decease we breeders must act responsibly. Regarding health, Hazinas puts in a lot of effort to find healthy, well balanced, kind stud dogs with the best nature for our females, and we have obtained very good results indeed. Up till now, we have not received any feedback from our puppy buyers about offspring with e.g. hip displasia, or eye diseases, and there has been no puppies with kink tail or incorrect bite. Furthermore we are very proud to say that throughout our breeding we have had no cases of Dermoid Sinus, a genetic, autosomal skin condition in dogs which unfortunately is seen too often in RR-litters. Zibu's son, Hazinas 4th Ajabu - called "Gaius" - recently became father for the first time, producing a lovely litter of 7 at Kennel Fanikiwa here in Denmark, and there weren't any puppies with Dermoid Sinus here either. More about Gaius below.
